Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Ofsted bonuses for dual registration
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Home: Brand-new 3-bedded children’s residential home (EBD)

Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a brand-new 3-bedded children’s residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in Aylesbury.

Key Duties:

• Lead the setup, registration, and opening of a new 3-bedded EBD service, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff team to deliver safe, nurturing, and child-centred care.
• Embed strong therapeutic and behavioural support practices that promote positive outcomes for young people.
• Work closely with the Responsible Individual, senior leadership team, and external professionals to ensure high standards of care and continuous improvement.
• Maintain robust quality assurance, auditing, and compliance processes in line with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to future growth plans, with the opportunity to progress into a dual-registration role.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care – essential
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
• Proven track record of achieving good or outstanding Ofsted outcomes – desirable
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted frameworks – essential
• Passion for developing new services and building high-quality teams – essential
