Registered Care Manager – Nursing & Dementia Care
Location: Ruislip area
Salary: Approx. £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) + ad‑hoc hours as required
Service Type: Nursing & Dementia Care (28+ bed service)
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Care Manager to lead a well‑established nursing and dementia care service. The home has been operating successfully for over 20 years and holds a Good CQC rating. The current Registered Manager is stepping down, creating a rare opportunity for a strong, confident leader to take over the management of a fully occupied service.
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, knowledgeable and proactive leader with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, clinical governance and high‑quality person‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the day‑to‑day management of a 28+ ‑bed nursing and dementia care service

Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding and regulatory frameworks

Provide strong leadership to nursing, care and support teams

Oversee clinical governance, medication management and infection control

Maintain high standards of care, safety and resident wellbeing

Manage budgets, staffing, occupancy and cost control

Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff and external professionals

Drive continuous improvement and uphold best practice in elderly and dementia care

Ensure accurate record keeping, audits and quality monitoring

Represent the service professionally during inspections and external meetings
Requirements

Valid NMC PIN – Registered Nurse (essential)

Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager (essential)

Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and compliance

Knowledge of health & safety, infection control and medication management

Confident leader with excellent communication and people‑management skills

Ability to manage budgets, occupancy and operational performance

Computer literate with strong administrative and organisational skills

Passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care
