Shift Pattern

This role operates on a 2-week rolling rota:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

All shifts are 8:00am – 8:00pm (12-hour shifts).

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and committed Support Worker to join a specialist service in Swanage supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex care needs.

You will be delivering high-quality, person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing in a safe and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care tailored to individual needs

• Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex health conditions

• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks

• Promote independence, life skills, and community access

• Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans

• Manage and safely de-escalate challenging behaviours

• Administer medication in line with training and policy

• Maintain accurate care records and incident reports

• Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Essential)

• Experience supporting individuals with LD, autism, or complex care needs

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and CQC standards

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to commit to the fixed 2-week rota pattern
